The third convocation ceremony of Rama University, Kanpur, was held with great grandeur on December 8, 2024, marking a significant milestone in the academic journey of its students. The event was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Yogi Adityanath, along with other prominent leaders and officials.
The ceremony had begun with a floral tribute and pooja at the statue of Lord Shri Ram, followed by a tree plantation drive, reflecting a commitment to environmental sustainability. The academic procession, lamp lighting, and rendition of Vande Mataram had added a sense of pride and tradition to the occasion.
A total of 1,935 students and research scholars had been awarded degrees for the academic years 2023 and 2024. Among them, 49 scholars had received PhD degrees, while 84 students had been honoured with gold medals and 41 with silver medals for their outstanding academic achievements.
In his address, the Chief Minister praised the university’s dedication to academic excellence and encouraged students to contribute meaningfully to society. The ceremony had concluded on an inspiring note, celebrating achievement, dedication, and the pursuit of knowledge.
