The theme for this year's International Childhood Cancer Dayis "Surviving and Thriving: Better Access and Care for ChildhoodCancer." This theme highlights the importance of improving access to earlydiagnosis, treatment, and care for children with cancer. Early diagnosis andproper care are key to improving survival rates and quality of life forchildren with cancer. It is important to remember that children with cancer arenot just patients, they are children first and foremost. They deserve to live lifeto the fullest and to have access to the same opportunities and experiences asother children. Childhood cancer not only affects the child, but also theentire family, which makes it important for families to have access to supportand resources to help them through this adverse time.
